I spent some time today tweaking background music to use this Sunday night…..
I’ve been invited to sing live at the Woodville United Methodist Church’s 2nd Sunday Sing so although I’m not accustomed to performing in front of people, I do hope to be able to make a joyful noise unto the Lord! The program lasts an hour so I plan to sing about 16 songs and share the stories of why I was lead to write the different songs. It really is all about the messages in my songs anyway….. not about my vocal performance. I keep trying to remind myself of that since I’m a little shy about the idea of singing out! I committed to perform, however, because I decided that if I can touch the life of one person in that room through my music, then I will have fulfilled the purpose God has for my gift of songwriting. I’ve had a calling to share my songs with others and was elated to find the YouTube venue, which has been wonderful because I have been able to share my “messages” with people from all over the world! I have to say, I never thought I’d actually be singing in front of a church congregation but for it to present itself, I do feel its something God wants me to do.
Please say a prayer for me. 🙂
I’ve been wanting to sing out at retirement homes and have been purchasing sound equipment along the way to prepare to do that.
